Delilah Breed: Gerberian Huskherd Delilah came to us from a local animal rescue organization. We were actually looking for a rescued boxer, but fate intervened and I'm glad it did. Delilah arrived here as an underweight 2 year old. She still exhibits some fears from whatever happened in her previous life, but she loves people and loves to ride in the car. She has a cute little stump tail. Being half Siberian husky, Delilah is very smart, spirited and stubborn. She knows what she can get away with, and when we ask her to sit, she has to pause dramatically and wiggle her rear end before complying. Being half German Shepherd, Delilah lets us know when something is amiss and she has a deep, impressive bark. For some reason, Delilah has a fascination with eating the unedible. She is a compulsive grass eater, and rocks and textiles are also included on her menu. Believe me, it's not for lack of dog food! She's added 15 lbs to her girth since we've had her. She and her companion Juno enjoy going on long walks in the surrounding countryside. These walks are interrupted by Delilah taking several good rolls in the grass. Delilah loves to get brushed and enjoys a good massage.
