ADOPTION PENDING

PetrinaLcopy.jpg (35768 bytes)Petrina arrived here in early September, part of a herd of 11 that was surrendered near Asheville, NC. She is a short-wooled girl with gorgeous long ears, and appaloosa coloration on her front legs. Her face has a faint imprint of the halter that was left on her for too long. She is busy putting on some weight here at Signal Hollow Farm, but we hope to have her ship-shape soon so she will be healthy for her forever home.

Petrina's left hind leg has an old injury that was not tended to and the bones didn't heal together quite right, but it does not appear to impede her in the least. She will eat grain from your hand and is quite at ease with humans.

Petrina needs to go to a home with her best buddy Samantha, who is also in foster care at Signal Hollow.

The photo above is by my photography-talented friend Lee Kimmel.
